Thanks to the solid and multiannual experience of founder and artistic director Monica Martucci, counting on the valuable support of Valentina Peschier who graduated from Teatro alla Scala di Milano as a ballet teacher, a new formative project based in Milan was launched starting from the academic year of 2017/2018. The study program pays attention to the individuality of each student and is based on the academic program of the Teatro alla Scala dance school, with the aim of preparing the most talented students for international contests and auditions in prestigious academies. Courses are accessed with technical and physical-attitudinal auditions. The program, addressed to 11 years old students onwards, is characterised by a daily study of ballet and a complementary study of barre, pointe, repertoire, pas de deux, character dance and contemporary dance. At the end of every academic year, students will be examined to access the following course. The academy offers students not based in Milan an accommodation in a homestay in the school’s surroundings.
In order to prepare for the academic training, the school launched a new 5-year program of preparatory dance courses for young students aged 6 to 10, fundamental to give them the possibility of acquiring the ideal skills to face the following training years. The last year of this preparatory program, corresponding to the fifth year of primary school, is extremely important and allows the possibility of training up to three times a week for the academy auditions.
